Renato Meneghetti

Installations and Performance

Many of Meneghetti’s works ask the viewer to take part: with the Velati-Svelati the public unveils the work and becomes its co-author. From 1993, in a large studio with assistants and craftsmen, he created installations of strong impact: from Ouroboros at the port of Olbia (1999) to Clandestine and Indifference, up to Sottopelle and La bugia for the 54th Venice Biennale (2011). With performances, such as the banknotes signed «Fagocitatrice Maxima», he took his critique outside museums.
